Therapy

I am naturally drawn to the whole person, holistic mind-body approaches, systemic and mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioural therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT). I am also an EMDR Accredited Therapist. I am fascinated by the influence of our minds on our bodies and vice versa and our abilities to heal.

Some of my key clinical and academic influencers include: Russ Harris (key proponent of ACT), Brene Brown (iconic Social Work researcher, writer, storyteller), Tara Brach (Clinical Psychologist and Buddhist), Dr Kristen Neff and Professor Paul Gilbert (Leaders in compassion research).

Therapy is saying about 'yes' to yourself, your needs, your relationships, your life, your future and your now. Having had therapy myself I know how it feels to sit in the other chair, and how supportive and life-enhancing this can be.

I offer face to face therapy in Wymondham as well as online sessions.

I am registered with several health insurers to provide psychological therapy to their members, including Aviva and AXA.
